Frégate

Frégate Island is an island in the Seychelles. The island is the easternmost of the granitic inner islands.

Around Frégate Island you find 4 species of sharks that are frequent visitors. The Nurse Shark, Grey Reef Shark, Whitetip Reef Shark and the famous Whale Shark are found in our waters.

Sharks play an integral role in keeping our oceans healthy. They come in all sorts of shapes, sizes and colours; with over 1000 unique species they are truly diverse and fascinating. They are curious, but no danger to divers and it is always such a memorable experience to encounter one of these magical creatures.

Aldabra

The remote wilderness of Aldabra Atoll, one of Seychelles’ most distant islands, is over 1000 km southwest of the main island of Mahé.

Aldabra is one of the world’s largest raised coral atolls comprised of four main islands that rise to an average of only 8 m above sea level. Aldabra is a huge atoll and, at 35 km by 15 km, is the largest of the Seychelles islands.

The Aldabra Giant Tortoise got its name from the Aldabra Atoll, where it first appeared. These endangered beasts can grow about 1.3 metres long and weigh over 400 kilogrammes. The species is endemic to the Seychelles.

Desroches

Desroches Island is the main island of the Amirante Islands, part of the outer islands of the Seychelles. It is located 227 km southwest of Victoria, Seychelles.

The Seychelles boasts an impressive list of endemic bird species; some of which may only be seen on a handful of islands. It also boasts some of the most spectacular seabird colonies in the world.

The Seychelles black parrot is a sombre-coloured, medium-sized parrot endemic to the Seychelles. The population of the Seychelles black parrot (Praslin parrot) is around 520-900 birds.
